The down side to tournaments
No comparison between baseball and softball. Pitching innings is the biggest reason for fewer games in baseball....that and this assumption that its a requirement the game be slow and boring! and they are done, beat by a Firecrackers team this morning. great tourney for them. DD finished the tourney 12-19, a few walks, a few FC RBI, 3 sac bunts. At least I get to watch the next two tourneys live and in person!!- TheRogue

Xeno durability
DD just got the 2014 Xeno at the Firecracker...not out to the general market yet. Supposedly some redesign, including "more composite material". She says it doesn't sound quite as harsh as her 2013, for what that's worth.- TheRogue

DD is playing in the Firecracker this week (while I'm sitting at home); team was selected for the 16U Super32 "power pool" (means they play the big name teams). Xeno new or old and bat length
DD just toasted Xeno number 2 in 10 months. First one developed a rattle, HS umpire yanked it. The replacement one loosened up badly in the joint just last night. Little League World Series Championship tonight at 9pm Central....
Really felt for that Central pitcher. She didn't seem to get any moral support either...of course watching it on TV could have missed something. Making cuts after tryouts....
What is the normal way you have seen? Most organizations in our area call or send emails after tryouts, informing someone if they have been if they have or have not made the team.
