Well, I guess everyone has their opinion. When my DD played as a fill in for a 10u majors SB team, she about fell asleep in the outfield. She doesn't mind playing outfield in baseball, she actually gets to play some as balls actually come to her out there.
Seriously though, this shouldn't be a "which is better". Let your DD play what she wants to and has the most fun doing!
I noticed during the big NCAA SB tournament that one of Alabama's starters was a high school baseball player. She didn't seem to have much trouble getting a good D1 scholarship!
