Im hearing the older 2010-2011 Xeno's are hotter then the new 2013 bats. Anyone have anything on this. I guess the logic is the 2011 bats where really hott. So they changed the guide lines to help the bats have less pop. Also my DD is 12u turns 13 in late march what length bats are 12u girls hitting. We just switched from a 31 to a 30 seems to be a good move. She can get around on the bellmuch better.

My DD is close to yours in age; she just turned 13 in February. But age isn't as important for bat size as height and build/strength. She's about 5'4" 140 and is using a 32/22.

Last fall before her growth spurt, she was about 5' or 5'1" and was using a 31/21.

Thanks to all. Yeah i guess age wasnt the best info for the question. My DD is 5-2 5-3 maybe 85-90 lbs. The 30 -10 is really making a huge difference. She had a "hitch" in her swing. Now she is swinging smooth and hitting the ball. She was always a good hitter in minors. But when we moved up to majors i bought a composite 32 -12 and she hit everything towards first base. On this TB team 3-4 girls with good swings all just got 2013 Xenos. None of them seem to come off the bat like this 2011 does. If technology is the same there might be something to this bat being broke in. ????

At 5'2" I would probabaly have her swinging a 31".

The xeno's have internal governers in the form of disks that are supposed to make the bat work at peak allowed performance right out of the wrapper (these disks also prevent the bat from getting hotter than allowed standards). There have also been cases of thee disks coming loose and causing a rattle and some umps disallowing the bat in play.

If the girls with the 2013 are not hitting as well as the girls using the 2011 maybe it is the girls and not the bat?

We just received our 2013 Xeno as replacement for the recalled oneX. It is plenty hot right out of the package. We choose the oneX because we did not want the Xeno, but we are adjusting very quickly. She hit 3 over the fence Wednesday!!

So did she hit them out because of the bat, or was it because of good hitting mechanics?

DD just toasted Xeno number 2 in 10 months.

First one developed a rattle, HS umpire yanked it.

The replacement one loosened up badly in the joint just last night.

Sucks because she is destroying the ball right now. Not going to switch to a different manufacturer during the season, especially not when she's hitting over .500.

My daughter is only 8 and hitting a 30 19 CF5 in fastpitch. I was worried at first since I noticed she was rolling wrist early but was I corrected she hits fastpitch fine with that size. She is 4' 5" and probably 65 pounds. If I read the charts here then she is hitting too big but I have played my whole life including D1 college baseball and she has a smooth fast great swing with it. I guess it all depends on the girls. Granted she is tall and strong for her age. I am letting her swing a 30 20 XENO I picked up now and she has no issues with weight but just got a great deal and wanted to see if the Xeno was hotter then the CF5

My DD has a 2011 Xeno and 2013 Xeno. '11 is 32/22 and '13 is 33/23. Haven't had any trouble with either one. Both bats are used by multiple players on team. 2011 been used for 2 years, HS, TB and even local Fall league. Great bat DD won't swing anything else. Also one teammate of DD has 454 and another has FS1 and ball looks dead off of them. As a team we hit 10 HR's this year in our HS season, Xeno(9), FS1(1). The girl with the FS1 is our clean up/ home run hitter. Last year she swung purple Stealth and liked it much better and hit better with it. This year she said it was dead and had trouble finding another one. Watching our girls in the cage use a variety of bats, nothing touches the Xeno!!!!

Same here, Get-n-Go. My DD has had 3 2011 Xeno, not a problem with any. Sold the 2 32/22 and is using the 33/23. The 2013 is a 33/24. The original 32/22 is 3 years old.
