I hear you RHC.

This swing, of a hitter that NTF doesn’t know, yet knows such details as the hitter’s age and exit velocity, was given as an example of energy delivery …. And yet the transfer of energy to the barrel is inefficient. At some point you have to question if this is a hoax.
Another board member on another site I have been on for a long time.

The original poster had a 12yr old girl asking about her, I had a clip of a 11yr old .

PM me if you want details . I will be glad to answer .

I appreciate the piling on , I think you could get 10 hitting instructors all with different ideas on hitting

I have my ways and ideas, you have yours.. Who's to say which is best

I missed the post where the original poster asked about the 11yo you posted.

You wrote the following earlier ...

Every back elbow will pause or stall at extension.. Otherwise the hands would never get ahead of it

Please clarify this. Obviously at "full extension of the rear arm" the hands are well ahead of the rear elbow. Perhaps you mean as extension into contact takes place? Please identify where the elbow is pausing in the clip below.

The Hanson Principle..."Always compare what anybody tells you about the swing to slow motion clips of the best hitters in the world".

Some of the things you talk about liking in the young lady's swing aren't what we see happening in the swings of the best hitters. Although there are some disagreements about mechanical issues between some of DFP's swing geeks, there are also some absolutes that are widely agreed upon. Some of those absolutes are contrary to some of your ideas.

Instead of looking at this as "piling on" and shutting down, consider taking another look at the swing mechanics you believe in, and see if you can find these things in the swings of Cabrera, etc. (here's a good resource - NOONTIME BASEBALL | HEY BATTER BATTER... GIF BATTER!). Consider opening your mind to other possibilities and see if they make sense. You might learn something new.

I definitely will continue to learn about the game, all aspects
I would not be a very good coach if I thought I knew it all and quit trying to gain knowledge

It's just funny to me how many people can tell you what's right and wrong in a very subjective topic..
Just wondering how many of your students match up with Cabrera , posey, Hamilton ., Stanton .
Since those are who you model your teaching to mirror

I'm still wondering where this "elbow stall" is in this video below. I keep looking for it and don't see it.

Do you honestly believe this? Do you see it in the above video? I don’t see it. Help me see it.

At this point, none, but they're closer than they were before. In reality, none of them may ever get all of the way there (remember that the MLB'ers we're talking about are athletic freaks of nature), but I believe in using the best possible model as a target to shoot for. Even if we come up a bit short, we're still on a path of success.

The OP asked about his 12yr old, not the 11yr old I posted .. RDB asked about a swing I liked.
