In a true friendly it’s no big deal. Especially at the older ages. My DD’s 18u team has a few past players that are playing college now. They come out to friendlies to get some work and hang with their friends. Same thing with a bunch of team we play from time to time.

A tournament is a total different story.

Also - for a friendly, it's quite likely the coach was aware of it, as they're usually the ones setting up the games to begin with.

Tell me if I am wrong or not here umpires especially.....but once the line ups are changed and agreed upon.... it is what it is.

I would think a TD could always remove a player,or if game concluded, declare a forfeit.
