Remember those days, leave out on the bicycle and be gone all day playing ball at Linwood school field. No grown ups only us kids, this put a smile on my face and made my day.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We even made up 1 on 1 games .
Every time we have team get-togethers away from the field, the girls will ALWAYS create some sort of competition for themselves, with whatever ball, equipment, or facilities they have available at the time. Competitors will compete.
Draw a strike zone on the wall, balls on the ground that get past the pitcher were singles. Line drives that hit the bottom of the fence a double, triples hit the top of the fence and home runs go over, hitters-getters on the homers. Fastpitch, Jetball, Speedball,... Different neighborhoods had different names for the same game.1 on 1 speedball with a pinkie rocked!! Probably wasn't the best for my arm however
Looked pretty organized to me. At no time did the runner on third have to go back to the plate because it was his at bat again. No announcement of an invisible runner on third. No right field is automatic out, no batting team has to supply the catcher... Not to mention no balls covered in black electrical tape.
