I would like to start videoing both pitching and hitting. I don't have a clue about the equipment or set up. I would like to be able to do games and lessons. Also what you need for slow motion and stop motion if that is possible. Also price is always a consideration. Got to budget for the new bat and shoes every 3 months. Any tips would be appreciated.

I can't speak to the ultra slow motion stuff, but the GoPro is probably the best camera for all around recording. It can record hi-def video up to about 60 frames per second, and lower resolution video up to 240 frames per second. As with all digital recording, lighting is king. When outside, the GoPro is the best bang for the buck. For indoors, some of the analog cameras do a better job handling the low light.

If you do go with the GoPro camera, check out my bracket that will safely mount the GoPro (and other cameras) to a chain link fence: http://www.lynkspyder.com
