Thanks just trying to get a better feel for what is called turning the barrel, the real turning happens at the end of the clip I posted. I'll be back with the rest of the clip.

Yes this is slo mo with extra frames, so the turning looks like it starts later. In a regular clip the turning would start earlier. I just thought this would be a good clip to learn what others call early turning of the barrel. The turning at the "start" is what I wanted to understand better. So I'm posting clips to see what others would call turning at the start.

I believe what butter may be suggesting is that there is an effort to work the barrel and that the barrel does not respond immediately .... the implication being that there is a lag while structure is established.

Speaking of lag, how does lag and snap fit in to turning the barrel. Is it 2 different functions at almost the same time?

I believe the notion of 'snap' is that slack has been taken out of the system to the point that the barrel will respond immediately.
