Turf Toe

My dd was just diagnosed with turf toe. I am just curious if anybody has had experience with it? Doctor and physical therapist recommended a hard orthodic to keep her toe and cleat from bending in the wrong position. They were clear she would not do anymore damage as long as she wore the orthodic. She is able to pitch but was looking for any other experiences out there. Thanks in advance.

per Dr. orders for 6 weeks. She had an old unhealed
sprain in combination with the tt.
