Tournament Age Cutoffs

Hi everyone. We are a 10u travel team. We have 11 girls on the roster for summer ball. We are thinking about trying a local tournament for the first time this summer. All of the girls are 10 years old but in the upcoming weeks some girls will be turning 11. Rather than looking at charts and being confused and asking people who always say, “I’m not sure” I’d rather ask the experts here. Is there a certain date cutoff when the 11 year olds won’t be able to participate in a 10u tournament? Looking for the info on both USSSA and USA events. Thanks for your time.

If they were no older than 10 years old on Dec 31st of last year, you're good. That stuff is in both rule books, which you should become very familiar with. Best of luck!

Good way to remember it is use birth year. If they were born in 2011 (or later), they can still be 10u.
