There are many different levels of softball in my area, so there is something for everyone. There is rec ball, low B TB, high B TB, low A TB and high A TB. As one would imagine the cost to play and time required goes up with each level. Travel softball is typically less expensive than competitive dance or competition cheerleading and is a whole lot more fun for me to watch! In dance and cheerleading my DD was 'performing' for 3-4 minutes of a 4 hour program that I had to sit through.....no thanks!
