Short & sweet, my DD (10U, 7/2010 DOB) wants to pitch. The first PC I took her to didn’t “teach any certain style” and I didn’t know any better so she trained with him for 3 months. Enter a new PC whose DD was quite the pitcher in her prime but using HE. This PC recognizes I/R as the supreme method, but sometimes I feel his years of HE experience spill over & that my DD is being taught a “blend.” I’ve read & re-read threads here & have started Rick Pauly’s new courses so that I can better understand her journey & educate myself when she’s being instructed to do something that maybe isn’t I/R. She & I are going to get back to the very basics. I welcome all feedback & appreciate your help along the way. I’m a Mom on mission with a wildly dedicated little girl!
Here, Jo is practicing Pauly’s “Dot & Cover” where she makes contact/brush with the “dot” near her elbow & internally rotates to “cover” the line on her forearm. These cues are drawn on her arm with washable green marker...if you can see them. (These clips were slow-motion...I’ll need to research why that isn’t preserved when I uploaded them! )

Questions....
1.) Is this whip? Is she doing it correctly? If not, what can be improved?
2.) I’m zip code 45053 in rural SW Ohio, near Indiana. Do you know of a PC teaching I/R near me?
Thank you, friends!
