I am a 17 year old Male pitcher who has a decent rise ball that can help me get people to pop up or strike out but I know I don't have the right spin.
Learning the Peel Drop and change up was natural for me and they both work great.
Having a good rise ball will really help me for a third pitch.
My spin is in between a rise and curve spin but it still has movement.
I can get the spin master with the right spin when I throw it just not a regulation softball. I have been working on it for about 2 years and I know its a long process.
My Main problems are:
Keeping control when throwing it
making it a consistant rise ball
having the correct rise spin
Also I am up to learn any new grips because I just picked up mine from a coach. I practice throwing it a lot with different tools and just focusing on the spin and I am improving but I don't feel real comfortable throwing it.
So I'm asking how can I improve my rise ball and get the right spin?
