Just had a good laugh. DD’s 10u team was having practice Sunday night. One of the AC’s DD’s has been taking pitching lessons and was trying her hand at pitching. After a few wild pitches to the opposing dugouts, some to the top of the backstop and one unbelievable shot to first. She looked HC dead in the eye and asked “what kind of pitches do you want me to use on her?”
That HC is a saint. He choked back everything that was in him, tucked his hat down over his face and in the most calm and polite voice imaginable said “let’s just do fastballs for now.”
