Definitely the put the ball in play, freeze and resume is helpful. Also, we used a game of kickball with a group of young rec players years ago, and they seemed to get it quickly...

gotcha, that makes sense, yes, SS and F4 should always be moving towards the ball. If hit on opposite side of 2B from them, takes them to 2B I like it.
