Yes, I teach my catchers and pitchers they expand the plate as far as blue is calling strikes, though often if expanded one side of the plate, often tighter on the other side.
Difference of blue making an open and honest judgement decision vice us telling the girls to leave early when the blues aren't looking - and I understand the girls know the difference between the game and life.
