The Lady Tigers from NC will be there playing 14u. By chance we just played a tournament at Tyger River Park complex this weekend. Awesome complex. It has 3 pods, red, green, and blue, with 4 fields each and a separate stadium field. Each pod has its own parking. Each has a little concession stand with limited menu but in the center of the complex is a bigger concession stand with a bigger menu and the food was good. Seating was good with covered stands but enough room to bring your own chair. You can also buy ice on the site if you forget to bring some. For the little ones, there is an awesome playground in the center of the complex.
Unless they change the rules for the world series, you can bring your own cooler to this complex but not to the other venues according to local people who were running the tournament this weekend.
Weather wise, this past weekend was between 88-92 but the humidity was very, very high. Rain was hit and miss and lightning stopped play on Sat for about 45 min.
Sorry, I do not know about "after hours" activity. We just live about an hour away so we just commuted. The closest town to Tyger River is Duncan but you will not find too much activity there. Spartanburg is not that far away and should provide a lot of opportunities.
