In researching bats for my DD, I notice the same bat, for example the CF9 Insane will have different SKU numbers. Is there any significance to the SKU number?

Sku is the retailer's number. UPC or Model # is from the manufacturer and should be the same across sellers.

SKU (stock keeping unit) is identifier for inventory purposes, so mfr's have SKU identifiers too - 2017 CF9 Insane (-10) Endload Fastpitch | DeMarini.

Model is usually same across different lengths and drop weights. SKU and UPC identify each unique combination of model, length and weight.

Lapanm. I think I misunderstood your question. I was thinking you were seeing different SKU#'s across resellers, making it hard to compare because they sometimes do alter the manufacture's # for their own purposes.

I think your asking, what the difference between a WTDXCFI 2131-17, WTDXCFI 2232-17, WTDXCFI 2333-17, WTDXCFI 2434-17, like in SoCal's page example.

The WTDXCFI is the bat model. CFI is CF Insane. the numbers are the weight and length (21oz 31"), the -17 is the year.
