Proper way to address the umpires?

I don't like to hear the opposing coach call the umpire by his name. It sounds like they are friends.

Even worse when an umpire calls the coach by first name. You call me "blue," I'll call you "coach."

I was taught to say "Mr. Umpire".

Now I usually say, "Hey, stupid! Are you frikkin' blind?!? Need my glasses, cause yours sure ain't workin'!"

Somehow, I don't get the same response as when I was a kid. Wonder what changed?

Seems like some of the tournaments we play, they actually are

friends, cousins, uncles, grandpa, etc...actually heard one of the little girls call the umpire "Pappy". We lost that game...
