Oh boy...scrimmage yesterday with mound at 43 ft for the first time

I donot recall my DD or team having any major timing issues in making the switch to 43'...Does DD and team perhap spend to much time hittting off a machine???

No, never hitting machine. One of the coaches was a college pitcher (and she's still fairly young...upper 20s maybe 30-31 at most)...she pitches to them during practice sometimes...or it's the other coach pitching from shorter distance (so they have to react faster). And sometimes we let our pitchers pitch to them too. I think that for the most part it was a slower pitcher (mid-upper 40s) pitching to outside a lot...they were eager to reach out and hit, and ended up getting ahead of the pitch; and ultimately, they didn't make adjustments. That and the fact it was first game they played since first week of December. Who knows. Really hope they snap out of it...it just wasn't like them at all. I would have thought they would have come back ripping and roaring...especially after a long break.
