It's not that hard. If you aren't comfortable doing something don't do it. Somehow acknowledge the gesture from the other person to be polite but you don't have to do it.

It has taken me a while to get used to as well just with people in general. But when I make sales calls its even more hard to remember.

I really do hope that the handshake will not become a thing of the past, but who knows. Two of my girls will be having birthdays somewhat soon and we were mentioning how people used to not think anything about blowing out candles and cant do that anymore as well.

Her you go, million dollar idea for you: Create a clear cover for cakes that has indentations on the top to stick candles in. Kid sputters the candles out, cover is removed, everybody enjoys.

*Never mind, just googled it, there is a patent issued for this already.
