I predict that not a single Pac 12 team will make it to Oklahoma City. The Big 10's 5th best team, Northwestern, took it to Washington earlier in the season, before Northwestern even had a chance to practice outside. Leads me to believe that the Pac 12 is WAY overrated. We'll find out soon enough. I think the two best teams are Florida State and Michigan. Unfortunately only one can make it to Ok City. That's going to be an epic Super Regional. I also think the Minnesota v. Wisconsin Super Regional will be VERY fun to watch - probably like a football atmosphere. Go Gophers.

Winning 4-2 against the number 2 pitcher early in the season is hardly "taking it to them" and even then it is against the weakest of the PAC-10 teams in the field of 64. The PAC-10 is not way overrated. Michigan is definitely not one of the best teams in the tourney. They happen to have the best hitter, but they are going to get exposed once they go up against some teams with big bats. At this point in the season, if you don't have a pitcher on staff that has at least 200 Ks, then you are going into a gun fight with a knife. You need a dominant #1 and a good number #2, Michigan has two good #2 pitchers. Michigan has a chance of making it to the WCWS, but they will make a quick exit if they do. The winner will be coming out of the SEC or the PAC-10 this year. Georgia is the team in the SEC I think has the best chance, I can't figure out the PAC-10, OR, AZ st, UCLA are so evenly matched it is hard to distinguish the better team. But all three have big bats and dominant pitching.

Hope you're right about UGA, although they are 0-2 vs. Alabama when Traina was the pitcher. Depends on whether Wilkinson can keep pitching the way she has the past two weeks.

Louisiana-Lafayette is a top 8 seed. Lowly Purdue tied them and Michigan beat them 15-1. 15-1!! This is the Big 10's year. No doubt in my mind.

you gotta look deeper my great northern fastpitch brother.....Mich beat LL's number 3 and 4 pitcher in that game. The day before they lost to LLs #2. It was also really early in the season before a lot of this was worked out. I liken early season non conference play to friendlies in TB the teams are working things out, trying different lineups, getting a feel for pitchers etc. Then they set their squads more for conference play. Arizona for instance was pitching like 5 pitchers early in the season, sometimes in the same game it seemed. Every time I have watched them since it has been Pinion in the circle it seems. I hate to say it but the BIG10s season was last year. They are going to get murdered when they go up against the SEC or PAC-10.

I can't make any predictions this year unless I know if they are going to call illegal pitches or not this year.

I'll take a shot at it just for fun. Not to ruffle feathers, either, just to get some verbal lashings for sure. With little objective analysis, my predictions for super regional matchups and the resulting teams in the WCWS are:

Oregon defeats Auburn
Arizona State defeats Florida State
Florida defeats Washington
Georgia defeats Tulsa
UCLA defeats James Madison
Louisiana-Lafayette defeats Arizona
Oklahoma defeats Tennessee
Missouri defeats SC Upstate

2014 WCWS Champion: UCLA defeats Georgia
