An aspect of this that I do find interesting is how a person's resume can change the length of their leash. We often talk/read about "that parent". But in many cases, if "that parent" is associated with a team's stud pitcher or shortstop, some coaches seem to put up with it more. If "that parent" is associated with the team's fourth outfielder, they are escorted to the door much quicker. I think the same applies to both of the people involved in this discussion. If the player involved was a bench player, I wonder if the Auburn coach's reaction would have been different in all of this. Likewise, if the coach was at a smaller school and didn't have multiple national championships to brag about, would the AD be taking a stronger stance towards him? Personally, I have my beliefs concerning both...

Guess I should have put "just kidding" at the end of my ear hole comment. I didn't think people would think I was serious, I really would never advocate such a thing.

And if there is not alreagy enough drama surrounding the Auburn softball program with the Walton/Fagan incident, Corey Myers just abruptly resigned "to spend more time with his family"...rumors on the Auburn message boards are not good.

Apparently there was a Title IX investigation that started last fall. When the Auburn softball team was honored during halftime of the aTm football game last September, there was one coach conspicuously missing. Rumor is that the investigation has concluded and that is the reason for the sudden resignation.
