Molded vs Metal Cleats

NJ appears ready to allow spikes in HS ball this year. Boys have always been able to wear them. DD plays on a few turf fields so she won't wear them all the time but she'd prefer to. They are best on hard pack infields and wet outfields.

I think this question gets asked enough that it should be a sticky. YES your daughter will like them and wonder why she waited so long to try them.

DD is pitcher/utility player for 12U and 14U. She loves her metals, says they provide much better grip. I never wore molded so I can't personally comment on them.

Once my DD was eligible to wear spikes (metal), she never went back to cleats (molded). I could not tell you the major differences other than spikes provide a little more grip and the girls love listening to themselves walk across concrete....
