It is very interesting to me that no one noticed on the video section, second page, Cat Osterman does a hop skip when she pitches her rise ball. I have seend her pitch before, from the front and the side so I never picked this up before but when I was showing my daughter the "famous" pitchers on the videos low and behold from the back she clearly picks up her pivot foot to launch forward then replants it and drags........
I have become extremely observant due to working with my dd and pick up a lot. Way more then an umpire does as he can only see from the front. My dd used to leap and refused to listen to me untill she walked way too many people and "real" coaches pointed it out to her. We have now successfully changed that for her.
