Mary Nutter Classic...who's going?

Who's going and when? I'm eyeballing going both Saturdays if the girls aren't in tourneys.

Prolly not us. DD has a TCS tournament the first weekend and DS has a big dance competition the second weekend. I might watch the feeds via FloSoftball if it's not too expensive for a month subscription.

Have fun, should be some good softball as usual.

I wish! SC elected to go to the Gaucho Classic (?) in Santa Barbara. Anything other than running the table will be a disappointment.

Mary lived just a few miles from my house. She had an online business selling softball items. I'd swing by her house every so often to pick up a purchase. She would talk to me as long as I wanted about softball.

I got to know her better over the years from seeing her at local events and through her coaches clinics.

She truly loved the game and was a great ambassador for the sport.

I'm so glad they have the event named in her memory.

I will be going the 2nd weekend.

I'll be there the second weekend with my two DD's. Gotta root for my alma mater...Fresno State! It was awesome last year, both my DD's got to meet the FSU team, chat with them, and get the whole team to sign their softballs! It made their weekend!
