DD had a pitcher with a good change, but a coach that insisted she call it in poor situations.
It became known as the "windshield" because it frequently ended up in the parking lot.

In 18u the other pitcher on my DD's team was a primarily riseball pitcher. When it was on it was really good but when it wasn't......We used to always tease her about all the places we used to find her balls.

My first thought was visualizing Robin Williams as Popeye trying to teach Jim Carey how to windmill pitch with Williams talking 150 mph nonsense and Cary contorting his body like a long-legged spider playing Twister alone trying to follow the instructions.

When my DD first learned to locate her fastball she would be proud to throw it right down the middle. Her pitching coach called it an "outfields numbers pitch". He said if you ever throw that one in a game you'll become really familiar with your outfielders numbers.
