So all that stuff about turning the foot and it’s part of creating separation by moving first is completely wrong and not what video shows.
Releasing the back foot is taught quite often.. I should knowAre we talking back foot or front foot?

Releasing, actively turning etc etc makes no difference... you anchor it. It will release, but you are not actively releasing it. So you can call whatever you want, only thing you have to remember is anchor itReleasing is not the same as actively turning.
