Sure ... most momentum drills work well for addressing this issue. Basically it's a sequence issue. Very difficult to master having the hips lead if one does not learn to have the hips (tail bone) moving forward as the hands load rearward ... see post on " fast hands ".

One of many such drills follows ... take note of what Jim speaks of as "the key" at about the 1:35min mark ... it is the forward movement while the hands are moving rearward that leads to the ability to effortlessly lead with the hips.

Very good, thanks. I have not focused much w/ her on that separation (hands back/hip forward). ...

My daughter hit a little over .300 last season against B-level travel competition. This fall vs. A/B+ competition, she's in a 4-for-22 funk, most because of better pitching and defense. She's just an average athlete, so her technique needs to be very good for her to compete at this level. Looking forward to seeing if she can rise to the occasion.

SBFAMILY is spot on . The Whip Hit is probably the best tool there is IMHO. Just wear a helmet when your learning to use it lol.
