Part of my daughters warm-up routine (10 1/2 yo) up until a few months ago has included 9 oclock to release get your hand behind the ball and use the wrist to propel the ball to the target. After reading the internal rotation thread, I started paying attention to her full speed pitches. I noticed she was showing it and throwing it with internal rotation even though during slow speed warm ups it was hand behind the ball. We have changed her warm-up routine to include the natural arm motion and whip the arm through release. It is difficult for her at slow speeds due to the muscle memory she has built up. Luckily we have caught this early. If she is internal rotating at full speed, then the slow speed will just take lots of time and patience... Makes sense to me anyway.
