In ASA am I allowed to protest a game?

If the ump 'called' the ball foul, the ball is immediatly dead. He cannot reverse a dead ball. So, if that's what happened, Comp is right, you could have protested. Notice that the ump does not 'call' a fair ball s/he only points to fair side of foul line in order to not confuse the defence. ( "Did s/he say fair of foul?") If ump yells anything, it will be FOUL ball.
