We (10u) did some infield coverage situations at practice tonight and it made me think of this.

Why not have LF cover third in that situation? I know they're not 9 years old at Arkansas, but that's a long run for a 1B.

That is how we run our coverage. LF comes in to 3rd, I think this is just hustle play....if that is designed, that is weird to me.

Situationally it depends. If SS is covering 2nd then LF has third. If 3rd fields the ball C is moving to 3rd but is the back up (P has to watch home)
