DD played on big boys field (she is 14u) last night, punches a 240' homer....with a 300' fence...everytime she hits long its always on a big field...frustrating.
She wants one over so bad.

Could it be a little physiological trying to hit is over that deep fence or does she play a lot of games with deep fences?

Regardless, it sounds like it is coming so you need to video all her at bats for us so you can post it. :)

Our local field finally shaved off the mound so the girls didn't have pitch downhill.

It's one of my biggest complaints about most tournaments we go to. You want to add some excitement and interest to the game, put up a fence.

Is there any max. or min. dimensions for fields? ASA, HS, etc. We have played on nice fields with 180' to 220' fences. And poor fields with no fences.

It is all in the rule book but you just play where you can.

(DD has played on nice fields with and without fences but also poor fields with fences. They seem to be seperate issues to me)

If high school basketball and football players use the same dimensions as college and pros, why should baseball and softball be any different?
