Can she keep her head warm? That will help. Many times in Flagstaff my DD played with a hoody on. The umps usually allowed it. You might need her number on it.

As with the heat, we don't mention the weather, once we get to the game.

Last weekend it was 40 degrees and windy on Saturday morning. I brought a Mr. Heater radiant heater and 20 pound gas cylinder like you use with your grill. I always carry tarps and straps to cover the dugout but for whatever reason we didn't use them. We use the hand warmer and hand muffs too. Btw, they last all day and when the game is over you can seal them in a ziplock and they will heat up again when you take them out again.

For those of you who don't usually deal with cold, they have to cover neck and ears as much as possible. Underarmor and headband are bare minimum.

Our hs athletic director cancels if it is a hint of too cold, often in the spring the 10 u's take the field at 8a the next morning.
