For the most part this isn't a softball question even though that would play into it a little bit. The opportunity to transfer to Atlanta has come up at work. It would be a very good move financially but with a family that is just a small part of the equation. I am familiar with parts of the area just from spending so much time over there for softball the past few years. I really do not know anything about the schools or the best areas for families though. I have one in 8th grade and another in first right now so good schools are a priority and solid softball program would be nice for the older one because I do not want her to be miserable playing school ball.
If any of you could throw out some suggestions for suburbs to look at. The position I would take would start out off I-675 and within a year or two probably wind up in the Marietta/Kennesaw area. I know these are on opposite ends of the world so I think i may be better off splitting the difference but being closer to the Kennesaw side so we wouldn't have to move in a couple of years. I can handle the traffic of the commute and my hours would put me early in the morning rush hour so I could miss some of it.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
