Helmets with face mask

DD's team played a friendly Sunday and opposing batter squared up to bunt. The pitch was coming way inside and going to hit the batter. She pulled her hands in close, which caused the bat to also come in close. The ball hit the handle of the bat and ricochet up behind the face mask and hit her right in the chin. She had to have 6 stitches in her chin. It also cracked a molar tooth. Another reason to also wear a mouth piece.

I know people here have tried to wear cricket helmets but they're now allowed because of standards or something. But I've played cricket in them and they're very lightweight.

The first time my DD tries to pitch or bat without a facemask her career is over....
