My DD's glove broke 10 minutes before a Championship game last summer. She borrowed a glove for that game but needed one for the following weekend. I ordered lace from Amazon, watched a couple of videos, and did it myself (just the fingertip/top of the web). Not hard at all if you have the right tools (Tanner lacing needles are awesome).

A couple of weeks later, the other DD's catcher's mitt snapped three laces. I busted out the kit again and went to town. Now, catcher's mitts are a different animal altogether. I ended up having to replace three sections of laces, which took me a couple of hours to figure out. But it came out great.

I have since done a complete re-lace on another kid's glove and it came out perfect. Took a stiff brush to it with some Nokona glove conditioner in the process and it looks like new. It's actually kind of fun and not too expensive (lace is available in bulk on Amazon).
