Looks like she is hitting rocks with the bat. More likely those marks are from cleats like others have mentioned.

It was stepped on by someone wearing cleats. DD's bat has one cleat mark on it. Happend the first day she had it out.

DD’s 16u team has been putting them through the paces since they came out, this is the first one I know of that went south. We are not very careful about using it for practice........ Probably shouldn’t say anything more for a few weeks.

Very true...gotta love people thinking no other brand has ever broke. I had to hear about a certain brand's drop 11 blowing up constantly and about another brand's discs
having issues all the time/also endcap separation. It gets taken care of.
Easton even gives TWO returns. I have had folk's ghosts last forever and still going, I have seen a couple last less than 3 months. Again, you don't know the story behind it either. That's why they have returns, just in case you get the latter. Heck, if you get the latter, they wont even charge you the first return.
If bats are going to be used for BP and whatever else, don't expect a long lifespan. If you get it, its a bonus.
