If you're thinking the forearm is extended out and away from the body it's not -- at least it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be pointed down at the ground.

Here's a video clip to check out. Look at her release. Do you think it violates that rule, since her wrist is not directly below her elbow?

Yes, that's what I was thinking.

I have seen pitchers pivot on the elbow, resulting in the wrist coming away from the body.

I appreciate the patience and continued explanation.
