I'm not sure how you can say that both coaches overreacted. I am a big guy so I have to be aware that I can be intimidating to people that don't know me. There is no circumstance where I would lay a hand on another person during a conference with an umpire.

It just isnt a big deal to me. I probably wouldnt have even noticed. Some folks are just wound too tight and way too sensitive about the little things

personally I would have made a joke into too. I would have embarrassed by saying something off the beaten path. Then shoved a win under him............. LOL
I'm in Cyclone's camp...seems like everyone got too upset over a minor incident.

One of the best I've seen. An opposing parent was ranting at one of the officials after the game. He called the official "dude". In the face of all the rage, the official calmly said "don't call me dude." The rage left the parent, he didn't know what to say. Then the official was able to explain the decision.
