Best Ball to Use on Jugs Machine Perfect Strike 50 (PS50)

What is the best type of ball to use on the Jugs PS 50? I have seen places say the dimpled balls, lower quality practice balls, and upper end leather balls. That is a wide range. I don't want to spend $11 a ball if that isn't needed, but I also don't want to save money on the balls only to ruin the machine or the bats hitting off the machine. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I don't have experience with the PS50, but we've had excellent results using Diamond Leather Pitching Machine Softballs with our standard, single-wheel jugs machine. Most leather balls will get eaten up by a Jugs machine in a short amount of time, but these have lasted. We bought two dozen in the 11-inch size three years ago and they're still going strong after countless uses by our whole team. Good quality leather with very low seams (I think they're made with Kevlar stitching for added durability). Even though we've moved up to a 12-inch game ball, we still hit the 11-inch balls when we use the machine.

I'd stay away from dimple balls unless you plan to use beater bats, personally.
