Quick question. I was wondering how one goes about being released from an ASA or Utrip roster? DD has been playing for a team for a few seasons and team politics have made things unpleasant already 2 months into the season.

We plan on finishing out the spring but wonder how we can be eligible to try for another team in summer? Same age and class.

In ASA the player locked to the roster at the start of Championship Play. They are no longer bound to the roster once the team is no longer in Championship Play. If you want a release you must get one from the team Head Coach. There is a form on the ASA website. If you have any questions the best person to contact is your local ASA JO Player Rep. They can walk you through all of the steps. The hard part comes when the coach does not want to release the player.

USSSA, I have no clue. I've only played in 1 U trip tournament in the last 6 years.
