In the comment section one person advised illegal altered bats passed while new legal bats failed.


Does not look very scientific to me.

ASA Letter to teams,
We are testing bats before this weekends games. Players need to bring their bats to the complex 2 days before games. Because it takes us that long to test all the bats.

It looks like to me they are too many variables that could affect the results of the test or make it unreliable.

Kind of like when I go to the doctor and I know if I stand on the scales a certain way I weigh less.
