Are there DI players 5'3" and under who are home run hitters?

Came up in discussion whether a player 5'3" or under could be a consistent home run hitter. Have there been shorter DI players who had good home run stats?

Sure. There are quite a few D-1 players between 5’ and 5’3”. Seems like 2nd baseman tend to fall into this category. My daughter is just under 5’2” and has a very powerful swing. Not playing D-1 just yet.

Hope she hits plenty of home runs when she starts playing DI
Team USA 2019 has 3 woman 5’4” and under. McClenney, Merritt, & Moultrie I believe.
The average height on the team is 5’7” I would say. Keep in mind the average height of a woman in the US is 5’4”.

I think it’s generally only pitchers who are super tall.

There does get to a certain point with pitchers where you’re just not as effective if you’re shorter.

I think that’s a fair statement. There are a few catchers that are tall. Aubrey Munro is 5’10” and there are a few 6’ footers out there.
It’s a plus if your a taller pitcher not a necessity.

I think they over state the player's height. When I saw Amanda Lorenz in person, I couldn't believe how short she was and so was Sierra Romero. TV makes them look really big.
