Soft line drive to LF. The LF is running in and dives but doesn't make the catch. The ball bounces off her glove and rolls maybe 10 feet away, enough for the hitter to make it to second. If she plays it 'normally' and let's the ball drop, the runner very likely won't make it to second, just a routine single.
Was scored a 2B by the 'scorer' in Game Changer who is also the LF mom.
For reference, my DD was the pitcher.
Is it a single with an error on the LF that allows the runner to get to 2nd? Just one of those iffy plays. Is there an error since diving for the ball is not normal effort? It was definitely a hit.
