Was the strike zone the same for both pitchers (and for all batters)?

If so, I may not like it, but as long as an ump is consistant from batter to batter and for both teams, I can live with it. It's the ones that have a continually changing zone that get my undies in a twist :)

Our HS state tournament was last week, and one ump (who, obviously wanted to be the center of attention, but that has nothing to do with this story) had a strike zone about a foot tall and 3+ feet wide, but it was the same no matter which team was pitching/batting, at least.

If you play a tournament that allows coaches to coach from a spectator area, good for you, but that is not the rule. Again, there are no rule allowance for a coach or player to be outside the dugout or designated team area. Check definitions on page 26 of your 2010 ASA rule book.

I guess I should email the rule to a few of my parents about coaching outside the fence. :)
