Hence why so many of the bigger org's have so many lower level teams all around the country now. All of those younger teams dues just pay for the National team.

DD plays for a National Team and trust me, younger team dues are not covering our costs. What they do help cover though is the costs of coaches getting to National events like IDT and PGF in California. They also don't allow parent head coaches on thier teams. You can have a daughter in the org but she cannot play for yup. This also allows they younger teams to participate at organizational camps held at the aforementioned tournaments.

As much as $30K per year, depending on how many flights you have to take.

I won't add it up, feels less painful that way.

we are at 15U, playing on a national team. First off, if the dues are going to be a sticking point, go ahead and look for a different sport. Dues are just a drop in the bucket. We pay $2800 in dues. The real cost is travel - hotels, flights, rental cars, and lessons. This Fall is 2 flights, 2 rental cars, and 6 weekend hotel stays. The summer will be 5 hotel stays and 1 flight.

DD loves it and 1000% wants this path so we make it work.
