Last swing shows her adjustment on a changeup. So many teach the hitter to “stay back” on off speed. You just can’t do that. You have to be prepared for the pitchers fastest pitch on every pitch, no matter the count. Delaying launch is the key.
Haven’t really taught her anything about adjustments on off speed other than always load/stride expecting the pitchers fastest pitch. She’s played a bunch of ball. We have done a lot of 2 strike counts on front toss just trying to hit ball oppo. What I see is a continued sinking into front side and hands somewhat staying back. Somehow she just kinda puts the brakes on launch, doesn’t rotate. She recognized it earlyHow do we go about delaying launch @Cornbread? What are your keys?
