A lot of girls let all weight go forward as soon as they step. It helps to show them that you can take a step without putting all your weight on that foot. We fight it with DD, she is 12 and it is a tough flaw to fix. Not all girls have the same abilities and body awareness. It took us over a year with IR to start seeing good results, others I've seen make improvements much quicker. We do storks and foot on a bucket drill, but we do one where she take a small step but hovers that foot just above the ground until just before release that helps the most. She looks great most times, but occasionally in a game she will backslide if she gets in a tough situation.
