Ok. So, I still consider myself a rookie. My DD is 10. She's a big fish in a small pond right now. She's still in REC. She's guested a few times and has done well each time. She belongs at the next level and her maturity has finally matched her ability so we are likely headed to TB after the summer. That being said, I saw a parent of another 10U kid giving direction to her DD about how to take a drop step for her skills video that was being produced at the adjacent field to the cage I was working in. I thought she was joking so I merely said "you sending this to GA and Alabama tomorrow or are you waiting a year?" She replied with a huge smile on her face "We're getting a head start. DD finally hit 60 off the machine last week. I'm also sending to SC, KSU, GA Tech, etc. etc." She showed me the email she drafted to send them once the video was "produced". I was stunned and speechless. I usually have some kind of quick witted comment in person. I had nothing.
What am I missing here? Because if I'm not missing anything, the only conclusion I can draw is she's out of her mind and is setting her child up for an unnecessary fall.
